Events

There is always something going on at Okeechobee Shooting Sports. Check here often to see what event you may like to participate in. Our facility was designed so that special events can be held without effecting the normal shooting venues at the facility. We also hold intro classes for many of the matches and shooting events so that shooters new to that venue can become familiar with them prior to a match or event. Special Events such a charity shoots are also listed here.

Regularly Scheduled Events:

IDPA

This one of the most enjoyable shooting events you will participate in.  IDPA shooting events are shot with your defensive pistol and are fun for the whole family.  It is a great way to improve your safety and skills when using your defensive shooting pistol.  Scenarios are based on real life situation as well as some that are just plain fun to shoot.  Intro to IDPA is held once a month on the fourth Sunday begining at 9:30.  We have holsters, magazine pouches, belts and many other accessories in the Pro Shop for use in the matches if you do not already have your own. Matches are held the 1st Saturday and 3rd Sunday of each month with intro classes normally held on the 4th Sunday of the month. Call or Email to check for any changes for this shooting venue.

3 Gun!

Are you ready to put all your skills to the test?  Then participate in 3 Gun at Okeechobee Shooting Sports.  If you feel you are well skilled in the handling and accuracy of your pistol, rifle and shotgun then 3 Gun is for you!   Check our calendar for 3 Gun intro classes if you would like to get your feet wet in this exciting sport.

Concealed Weapons Classes

Don’t have your Concealed Carry License yet or just want to brush up on the laws and skills?  Participate in classes at Okeechobee Shooting Sports and you will enjoy learning life saving techniques. Classes are held on the first Sunday of the month 2-4:30pm and on the third Saturday of every month from 9:30am-12pm. First Shots

Never fired a gun before or no some one who wants to give it a try?  First Shots is the perfect event to introduce people to the shooting sports.  During these free events participants will learn how to safely shoot a handgun, rifle and shotgun.  These events are great fun for the whole family and a great start to enjoying the shooting sports.

Fund Raisers

Have a charity you wish to promote?  Check to see what dates are available to hold your shooting event.  On site catering is available as well as some great shooting event packages to help raise awareness and and money for your cause.

Product demo days by manufacturer

Sometimes manufacturers are so excited about their products they will let you try them for FREE!  On demo days Manufacturer’s reps are on hand to tell you all the good news about their products and why they feel they are the best.  You can get hands on experience with the products so you can make the decission on what to buy next.  Demo days information will be listed here as their schedules become firm.
